Screen Recorder: Capture Your Screen Without Software

Record your screen, window, or browser tab with system audio instantly, with no software downloads or watermarks.

Need to quickly record a tutorial, a bug report, or a presentation? Installing dedicated screen recording software can be tedious, and many free web alternatives slap huge watermarks on your videos. Our Free Screen Recorder lets you capture your screen and audio directly from your browser, securely and watermark-free.

Why use our Screen Recorder?

  • No Installation Required: Uses the native WebRTC and MediaRecorder APIs built into modern browsers.
  • Zero Watermarks: Your recorded video belongs to you. We don't add any watermarks or time limits.
  • System Audio Support: Easily capture the audio playing on your computer alongside your video.
  • 100% Private: The recording happens entirely on your machine. Your video is never uploaded to any server.

Fast workflow

  1. Click Start Recording.
  2. Your browser will ask you to choose what to share: your entire screen, a specific window, or a Chrome tab.
  3. Optional: Check the box to "Share system audio" if you want to capture computer sounds.
  4. Record your content. You can pause and resume as needed.
  5. Click Stop Recording. Your browser will instantly generate a .webm file for you to download.

Pro tips

  • Tab Recording for Better Audio: If you want to record clear audio from a video or music track, choose "Chrome Tab" and check the "Share tab audio" box. This provides the highest quality sound capture.
  • Transcribe and Post: Don't stop at recording. You can easily upload your new .webm file into Auto Poster AI to automatically generate subtitles and schedule it to YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram simultaneously.

Checklist

  • Ensure your browser has permission to access screen recording (macOS users may need to enable this in System Preferences > Security & Privacy).
  • If capturing audio, make sure the "Share audio" checkbox is ticked in the browser prompt.
